Having a doula has been shown to: decrease your risk of a cesarean birth, decrease labor length, decrease use of Piticin, and can decrease the need for instrumental birth.

A birth doula provides resources throughout pregnancy and helps you prepare for your upcoming birth, and a birth doula accompanies you during labor and provides continuous physical and emotional support
Your doula will facilitate your birth vision
She provides emotional support and comfort measures
Helps with movement & positioning or anything else that feels supportive to you


All doula package include:


•    Two prenatal visits (approximately 1.5 hrs. each) to get to know your unique preferences and birth vision for labor and when the baby is born
•    Doula will be on call for us beginning three weeks prior to your estimated due date.
•    During your active birthing phase, continuous physical and emotional support throughout the labor process or you and your partner
•    Expert help with the initial breast feeding experience, immediately after the birth (Your doula has an IBCLC lactation certification)
•    Partner support and help to establish and maintain a peaceful and positive environment
•    Assistance working with hospital staff and providers to establish rapport and to ensure that you have enough information to make informed decisions about your care
•    Visit one day after the birth to answer questions and assist with breast feeding concerns
•    written transcript of notes taken during the birth


Optional services:
•    private breast feeding and baby care classes
•    Lactation support for up to a month after the baby is born
